Plus: the calendar

Unlocks, Fed meetings, CPI, big regulatory deadlines, and every new, quarter and full moon. Times show in your own time zone.
| Date | What | What happens | Type | Moon | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wed, Nov 11Next | Options on crypto ETFs Nasdaq ISE, SR-ISE-2026-42 | SEC has to approve, reject, or open proceedings on Nasdaq ISE's plan for standard listing rules for options on spot crypto ETFs | Decision deadline | Waxing crescent | Federal Register · SEC |
| Mon, Nov 30 | GraniteShares 3x crypto ETFs BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP | New effective date for the 3x long and 3x short daily funds. The Oct 26 filing exists only to push the date out, so it could slide again | Effective date | Last quarter | SEC filing |
Dates are the ones written in the SEC notice or filing. A deadline is the latest day the SEC has to act, and it can act earlier. Last checked Oct 26, 2026.
The moon column is our thing: it shows the real moon phase on each date (at noon UTC). It's there because we like it, not because the moon moves prices.
Why there aren't more dates here
Honestly the old "SEC must decide on the spot Bitcoin ETF by X" days are mostly over. A lot of spot crypto funds can now list under the exchanges' generic rules, so you get fewer one-off showdowns. What's left is the edge stuff: options, leverage, staking and baskets. We only put a date here when there's an SEC notice or a filing behind it.
The one that fell off
Lots of people had Nov 15 circled for the VanEck JitoSOL ETF, which would've been the first US fund holding a liquid staking token. It's gone. The SEC page for that filing shows it was withdrawn on Oct 14, so there's no ruling coming. Kinda anticlimactic tbh.
Deadline doesn't mean decision
The SEC can approve early, reject, or (for Nov 11) open "proceedings", which just buys it more time. So treat these as the latest day something has to happen, not the day it will. Effective dates like GraniteShares' get pushed all the time.
The macro stuff moves crypto more anyway. See the FOMC dates, CPI dates and the token unlock schedule.
Quick answers
What's the next crypto ETF deadline?
Wednesday, November 11, 2026. That's the SEC's deadline to approve, reject or open proceedings on Nasdaq ISE's plan for standard listing rules for options on crypto ETFs (SR-ISE-2026-42).
Is the VanEck JitoSOL ETF still due for a decision on November 15?
No. The filing was withdrawn on October 14, 2026, so there's no ruling coming.
